Simple Runner
Privacy Policy
This privacy policy applies to the Simple Runner app for mobile devices and its web version at simple-runner-12597.web.app (together, the "Application"), made by Wayyy Out! Games (the "Service Provider"). It explains what information the Application collects, how it is used and shared, and the choices you have.
Your account
When you first open the Application, it creates an account for you automatically, without asking for your name or email address. This account is identified by a random ID and lets the Application save your progress and place you on leaderboards.
You can choose to link your account to Google. If you do, Google shares your email address, name and profile photo with the Application's sign-in service (Firebase Authentication), so you can sign in and keep your progress on other devices. Your Google name and photo are not shown to other players.
Information the Application stores
To run the game, the Application stores the following on the Service Provider's servers, linked to your account:
- Your username
- Your chosen character, level and settings
- Your game progress, including coins, distances, personal bests, statistics, the runs you have completed and your challenge progress
- A notification token, so the Application can send you notifications (see "Notifications" below)
Some of this information is also kept on your device so the Application works quickly.
Run recordings
To help balance and improve the game, the Application may record some runs and upload them to the Service Provider's servers. A recording describes the run itself: the game settings, the moves you make, what appears on screen, how far you get, and your screen size. It is linked to your account's random ID but contains no name, email address or other contact details. Only the most recent recordings across all players are kept; older ones are deleted automatically.
Information other players can see
- Your username, character and best distances appear on the leaderboards
- If you set a record on a level, other players may race against a "champion ghost" that replays your run, shown with your username and character
Notifications
If you allow notifications, the Application uses Firebase Cloud Messaging to send you messages about the game, such as news or reminders to play. You can turn notifications off at any time in your device settings.
Analytics and crash reports
The Application uses the following services from Google to understand how it is used and to fix problems:
- Google Analytics for Firebase records how the Application is used, such as runs played, levels and features used, along with device and app information. It is linked to your account's random ID, not your name or email address. Google may estimate your approximate location (such as your country) from your IP address.
- Firebase Crashlytics collects information when the Application crashes or hits an error, such as your device model, operating system version, app version and details of the error.
The Service Provider uses this information only to improve the Application. It is not used for advertising.
Other services
- Firebase App Check and Google Play Integrity help confirm that requests come from a genuine copy of the Application, to prevent cheating and abuse.
- Firebase Remote Config lets the Service Provider adjust some game settings without an update.
- The Application may ask you to rate it using Google Play's in-app review feature, and may check Google Play for newer versions.
- To tell whether you are online, the Application briefly contacts common internet services. This does not send any of your information.
The services above are provided by Google, except the connection check. You can read how Google handles information in the Google Privacy Policy and Firebase's privacy information.
The web version
The web version uses your browser's storage to keep you signed in and to store your settings, and Google Analytics for Firebase may use cookies or similar technologies in your browser. You can clear these in your browser settings, but you may then lose an anonymous account that is not linked to Google.
How long information is kept
Your account information is kept for as long as you have an account. Run recordings are deleted automatically as newer runs are recorded. Analytics and crash information is kept by Google for a limited period, after which it is deleted.
Deleting your account
You can delete your account at any time from the Application's settings. Deleting your account permanently removes your profile, username, progress, statistics, runs, challenge progress, leaderboard entries, any champion ghosts of yours, and your run recordings. This cannot be undone.
If you cannot access the Application, you can ask for your account to be deleted by contacting the Service Provider at support@wayyyoutgames.com.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or move your personal information, and to object to or restrict how it is used. You can delete your account in the Application at any time, and you can contact the Service Provider to exercise any of these rights. You also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.
If you are a California resident, you have the right to know what personal information is collected, to delete it, and not to be discriminated against for exercising these rights. The Service Provider does not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioural advertising.
Children
The Application is not directed at children under 13, and the Service Provider does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has used the Application, please contact the Service Provider and the account will be deleted.
Security
The Service Provider uses reasonable measures to protect your information, such as access rules that stop players from reading or changing each other's private data. No method of storing or sending information is completely secure, so absolute security cannot be guaranteed.
Changes
The Service Provider may update this Privacy Policy, for example when the Application gains new features. Updates will be posted on this page with a new effective date, and significant changes will be highlighted in the Application or its store listing.
This privacy policy is effective as of 2026-10-30
