Simple Ludo

Privacy Policy

This privacy policy applies to the Simple Ludo app for mobile devices (the "Application"), made by Wayyy Out! Games (the "Service Provider"). It explains what information the Application collects, how it is used and shared, and the choices you have.

Your account

The Application creates a guest account for you automatically, without asking for your email address or phone number. This account is identified by a random ID and is used for online games.

You can choose to sign in with Google, so you keep your name, avatar, trophies and stats if you change or lose your phone. If you do, Google shares your email address, name and profile photo with the Application's sign-in service (Firebase Authentication). The Application shows your email address on your Profile screen so you know which account you are using. It does not use your Google name or photo: they are never stored in your profile or shown to other players.

You can sign out at any time from the Profile screen. Signing out removes your progress from that device; signing in again brings it back.

Your name and avatar

When you first open the Application, you choose a name and make a cartoon avatar. You can change both at any time. Your name is shown to other players in online games, so please use a nickname rather than your full real name.

Information kept on your device

Most of the Application works without the internet. The following stays on your device and is not sent to the Service Provider:

  • Games against the computer and pass and play games, including saved games in progress
  • Your settings, such as sounds, music, vibration, language, game speed and house rules, and whether you have seen the tutorial
  • As a guest, your offline stats, trophies and the dice, boards and kente you have unlocked and chosen. If you sign in with Google, these are also saved online (see below)

Information the Application stores online

When you play online, the Application stores the following on the Service Provider's servers, linked to your account:

  • Your name and avatar
  • If you sign in with Google: your trophies and when you won them, the dice, boards and kente you have unlocked and chosen, and your offline stats, so they can be brought back on another device
  • Your online stats, such as games played, wins, captures and sixes rolled, and a reputation score worked out from how you play
  • The online games you are in: the players and their colours, the house rules, every roll and move, and whose turn it is. Games are run on the server, so rolls are fair and cannot be changed by any player
  • The quick reactions you send in an online game. These are chosen from a fixed list of phrases; there is no free-text chat
  • Whether you are currently connected to a game, and when you were last seen in it
  • Whether the host of a game has muted your reactions

Information other players can see

  • In online games, the other players see your name, avatar, colour, moves and whether you are connected
  • Your online stats and reputation can be seen by other players
  • The other players in a game see the quick reactions you send in it. Reactions are chosen from a fixed list, so you cannot type messages to other players. The host of a game can mute any player's reactions

Analytics and crash reports

The Application uses the following services from Google to understand how it is used and to fix problems:

  • Google Analytics for Firebase records how the Application is used, such as the screens visited, the kinds of games played and how they end, the house rules and settings chosen, trophies earned, items worn, invites shared and which quick reactions are sent, along with device and app information. It also records your language setting, roughly how many games you have played, whether you have played online, and whether you use a phone or tablet. It is linked to a random ID, not your name. Google may estimate your approximate location (such as your country) from your IP address.
  • Firebase Crashlytics collects information when the Application crashes or hits an error, such as your device model, operating system version, app version and details of the error.

The Service Provider uses this information only to improve the Application. It is not used for advertising, and the Application has no ads.

Other services

  • Firebase App Check and Google Play Integrity help confirm that requests come from a genuine copy of the Application, to prevent cheating and abuse.
  • Firebase Remote Config lets the Service Provider adjust some settings without an update, such as how the computer players play and which versions of the Application are still supported.
  • Google Play checks for updates to the Application and, if you agree, downloads and installs them.

These services are provided by Google. You can read how Google handles information in the Google Privacy Policy and Firebase's privacy information.

How information is shared

The Service Provider does not sell your personal information and does not share it for advertising. Information is shared only:

  • With Google, which provides the services described above on the Service Provider's behalf
  • With other players, as described in "Information other players can see"
  • Where required by law, or to protect the safety of players and the Application

Google may process information on servers outside your country. The Application's servers are in Europe.

How long information is kept

Your name, avatar and online stats are kept for as long as you have an account. Online games, including their reactions and connection information, are deleted automatically: games that never start after a day, and finished games about a week after they end. A game nobody has played for a day is ended and then deleted the same way. Analytics and crash information is kept by Google for a limited period, after which it is deleted.

Information on your device stays there until you delete it, clear the Application's data or uninstall it.

Deleting your account

You can delete your Simple Ludo account and its data yourself, at any time, in the Application:

  • Open Simple Ludo and tap your avatar at the top of the Home screen
  • Scroll down and tap Delete my account
  • Tap Delete to confirm

Your account and data are deleted straight away, including if you signed in with Google. This cannot be undone. You do not need to sign in again first.

Signing out is not the same as deleting: it only removes your progress from that device, and your account stays so you can sign back in.

If you cannot open the Application, email support@wayyyoutgames.com from any address with the subject "Delete my Simple Ludo account" and your name in the Application. Your account will be deleted within 30 days and you will get a reply when it is done.

Deleting your account permanently removes:

  • Your account and its random ID, including any link to Google
  • Your name and avatar on the Service Provider's servers, your online stats, and any trophies, unlocked items and offline stats saved with them
  • Your place in any online games: lobbies drop you, and games in progress carry on with a computer player in your seat
  • Everything the Application keeps on your device: your name and avatar, saved games, stats, trophies, unlocked items and settings

Deleting your Simple Ludo account does not delete your Google account. To stop Simple Ludo appearing in your Google account's connected apps, remove it in your Google Account settings.

Some information is kept for a limited time:

  • Reactions you sent stay visible to the other players in that game until the game is deleted, about a week after it ends
  • Analytics and crash reports, which are linked only to a random ID, are kept by Google for up to 14 months for analytics and 90 days for crash reports, then deleted

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or move your personal information, and to object to or restrict how it is used. You can change your name and avatar or delete your account in the Application at any time, and you can contact the Service Provider to exercise any of these rights. You also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.

If you are a California resident, you have the right to know what personal information is collected, to delete it, and not to be discriminated against for exercising these rights. The Service Provider does not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioural advertising.

Children

The Application is not directed at children under 13, and the Service Provider does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has used the Application, please contact the Service Provider and the account will be deleted.

Security

The Service Provider uses reasonable measures to protect your information, such as access rules that let only the players in a game read it, and running every game on the server so no player can change rolls or moves. No method of storing or sending information is completely secure, so absolute security cannot be guaranteed.

Changes

The Service Provider may update this Privacy Policy, for example when the Application gains new features. Updates will be posted on this page with a new effective date, and significant changes will be highlighted in the Application or its store listing.

This privacy policy is effective as of 2026-11-02
