Privacy Policy
This privacy policy applies to the Simple Sudoku app for mobile devices (the "Application"), made by Wayyy Out! Games (the "Service Provider"). It explains what information the Application handles and how.
In short: the Application does not collect personal information, and nothing you do in it is sent to the Service Provider or to anyone else.
Information the Application collects
The Application does not collect personal information. It has no accounts or sign-in, no advertising, no analytics and no crash reporting, and it does not use the internet.
Information stored on your device
To work, the Application stores the following on your device only:
- Your settings, such as theme, font, sound and vibration preferences
- Games in progress, including your entries, notes and time spent
- Your statistics, such as puzzles solved, best and average times, and your daily puzzle streak
The Service Provider cannot access this information. You can delete it at any time with "Reset progress" in the Application's settings, or by uninstalling the Application.
If you use Android's backup feature, Android may include this information in your device backup. Backups are handled by Google under the Google Privacy Policy.
Sharing puzzles
When you share a puzzle, the Application opens your device's share menu with a link such as https://www.wayyyoutgames.com/sudoku/N4F7-K2QX. The link contains only a short code that identifies the puzzle. It contains no information about you or your game. You choose who to send it to, and the app you send it with handles the message under its own privacy policy.
When someone opens a puzzle link and has the Application installed, the link opens directly in the Application. Otherwise it opens a page on wayyyoutgames.com (see "Our website" below).
Our website
The pages that puzzle links open are part of wayyyoutgames.com. The website uses Vercel Web Analytics to count page visits. It does not use cookies and does not collect information that identifies you. As with most websites, the website's hosting provider may keep standard technical logs, such as IP addresses, for a limited time for security and to operate the service.
Google Play
The Application is distributed through Google Play. Information Google collects when you download or update apps is covered by the Google Privacy Policy.
Children
The Application is suitable for all ages. Because it does not collect personal information from anyone, it does not collect personal information from children.
Your rights
Because the Service Provider does not collect or hold personal information through the Application, it has no personal data about you to access, correct or delete. Your game data stays on your device, under your control. If you have questions about your rights under data protection laws, such as the GDPR or the CCPA, please contact the Service Provider.
Security
Your information stays on your device and is protected by your device's own security features.
Changes
The Service Provider may update this Privacy Policy, for example if the Application gains new features. Updates will be posted on this page with a new effective date. If a change means the Application starts collecting personal information, this policy will be updated before that change takes effect.
